3 Awesome Web Applications to Help Your Daily Work-flow
November 25th, 2009
There are loads of applications available on the Internet that can help you organize and become more productive during the day, whether your a freelancer, or typical office worker. Some are more useful than others, but it’s becoming increasingly harder to spot the best from all the junk out there. Well, here are 3 awesome applications to help you along your way.
Remember the Milk
Remember the Milk is an awesome to-do list application. It’s free, and very simple to use. They’ve also developed an awesome iPhone application that you can use to keep your to-do lists with you on the go. Brilliant. The other great thing about Remember the Milk is that you can integrate into a bunch of other applications on the web, such as your Gmail account and Twitter account for maximum effectiveness.
FreshBooks
FreshBooks is one of those applications that a freelancer, or practically anyone who works for any type of client will find extremely useful. It brings together all the core information needed, such as client information, expenses, invoices sent and paid, staff information, billing, and timing information. It even has a built in timer which you can use when billing clients hourly.
YouSendIt
When we’re done with client work, we need to send them the files that they’ve paid for, but sometimes this can be a little tricky as the file sizes may be too large to attach to an email efficiently enough. This is where YouSendIt comes in. YouSendIt allows you to send much larger files over email (up to 100MB on the free version) quickly and safely. You can even add password protection, and track your file delivery.
Conclusion
So there you have it, 3 awesome shiny new applications you can take advantage of straight away and use to improve your efficiency, productivity and planning whilst working.

Don’t use ‘awesome’ twice in one paragraph, or you risk loss of credibility.
I recommend dropbox for transfer of large files.

Just looked for RTM in Android Market. Lousy reviews. And $25 for a simple application sounds like small change, but remember that there are scores of small change applications out there gunning for your wallet. Task list on iGoogle is free.

Also check out Tom’s Planner (www.tomsplanner.com). It’s an excellent project planning tool that can be used standalone or exported to MS Project.
